Limited editions, original sales and commission deposits for artists

$999 Installed and configured

A limited edition is a promise to every collector who buys one: when number fifty sells, there won't be a fifty-first. Shopify is good at keeping that promise, with inventory that stops at the edition size and variants for paper, size and framing. Foxco builds a custom artist Shopify theme that treats originals, editions and open prints as separate collections, shows each piece large with detail shots and room views, takes commission deposits as a product and keeps your story and upcoming shows close by. It's $999 installed on your Shopify store and configured, so your next release goes out on a store that looks like your studio.

Artist theme questions

Will my store look like a Shopify template with my art in it?

We start from our artist framework on Shopify and build it out around your work, your brand and the way you sell, so the store feels like your studio.

How long does it take?

Most artist stores go live in 7-10 days once we have your logo, high-resolution images and pricing. Rush jobs depend on our bandwidth when you reach out.

Can I sell numbered limited editions?

Yes. Edition sizes are set through inventory so each one stops at its count. Certificates of authenticity or tracking individual numbers through an app can be a custom project.

Can I sell print-on-demand alongside originals?

The theme handles both side by side. Print-on-demand runs through a Shopify app; Shopify and the app maker bill for the plan and app separately from the $999.

Collectors who trust that number fifty is the last one also want to trust everything around it, from how the work is photographed to how it arrives at their door.

Work shown at the right size

Each piece gets a large primary image with zoom, close-ups of texture and a room view so a buyer can judge scale. Dimensions, medium and edition details sit right under the title. Originals show as one of one and leave the shop when sold, then move to an archive that collectors can still browse.

Editions, prints and framing

Variants handle paper type, print size and framing, with inventory set to the edition count so a sold-out size closes itself. Foxco sets up shipping profiles for tubes, flat boxes and crated originals, which keeps a small print from being charged like a canvas and a canvas from shipping at a print's price.

Commissions and collectors

A commission page explains your process and sells a deposit as a product, followed by a brief form for size, subject and timeline. A collector signup gathers emails for early access to new releases. Gift cards give fans an easy way to buy for someone who loves your work but would rather pick the piece themselves.
