Commission forms, build diaries and repair requests for luthiers

$999 Installed and configured

A player commissioning an instrument is starting a relationship that might last a year and buying something they'll own for life, so they read everything a luthier puts online: the woods, the bracing, the necks, the waitlist and what current owners say. Foxco builds luthiers a WordPress theme with a portfolio of finished instruments, a build diary where each commission gets its own progress posts, a commission form that asks about body style, tonewoods, scale length, nut width and playing style and a separate repair page for setups, refrets and cracks. Your waitlist and pricing ranges sit in plain sight. It's $999 installed and configured and it gives your waitlist a proper home.

Commissions from players who've done their homework.

Luthier theme questions

Is this a template?

It's a custom theme. Foxco begins with its luthier framework, then builds it out with your brand, your instruments and the way you take commissions.

How long until it's up?

Plan for 7-10 days once we have your logo, photos and content. Rushes are possible depending on our bandwidth.

Can I post progress updates for each client's build?

Yes. Each commission can get its own build diary posts with photos, which you can keep public or share by private link. Client logins with full project dashboards are a custom project.

Can players request repairs and setups through the site?

The repair page has a request form for setups, refrets, crack repairs and electronics that asks for the instrument, the issue and photos. Online scheduling with deposits can be added as a custom project.

A year-long build usually begins with a player reading everything you've posted, often late at night with a guitar across their lap. The theme gives that research a clear path from the first look to a commission request.

Instruments with the details players want

Every finished instrument gets a page with body style, tonewoods, bracing, scale length, nut width, finish and sound clips or video. Players compare specs obsessively and having it all laid out answers the questions they'd otherwise take to a forum and guess at, while the sound clips settle what words can't.

Build diaries that keep clients close

Commissions take months and clients love watching their instrument come together. Foxco sets up build diary posts so you can share wood selection, bracing, binding and finish a few photos at a time, which keeps the client excited and shows future buyers how much care goes into each one.

Repairs as a steady second line

Setups, fret work and crack repairs bring in local work between builds. The repair request form asks for the instrument, the problem, how it's played and a couple of photos, so you can quote a refret or tell someone it only needs a truss rod adjustment before they pack the case.

Built by hand and followed by players.
