Is this a Shopify template with a guitar photo swapped in?
It's custom. We start from our Shopify framework for instrument makers and build it out with your brand, your instruments and pages that explain how you work.
How long until the shop is selling?
Usually 7-10 days once your logo, instrument photos and specs are in our hands. If a show or a release is coming up, rush jobs are possible depending on bandwidth.
Can a player pay a commission deposit online?
Yes. A commission product takes the deposit through Shopify checkout and asks for body style, woods and scale length. Progress payments or a build tracker through a Shopify app can be added as a custom project.
Can I sell instruments I take on consignment?
You can list them like any other product with a quantity of one and a consignment note on the page. Splitting payouts with consignors happens outside the theme or through a Shopify app you choose.
Selling to a player who can't pick the guitar up means every question they'd ask at your bench needs an answer on the page, from the nut width to whether the case comes with it.
Listings that read like a spec sheet
Each instrument page carries body and top woods, scale length, nut width, neck profile, weight, pickups or bracing and the case. A demo video sits beside the photos, so a player can hear the instrument and see your hands on it. When it sells, it's marked sold and stays in your gallery as a record of the work.
