Foxco Featured In SCMP: Tariffs & Supply Chain Optimization.

by andy fox

Recently Foxco and Andy Fox were featured in a South China Morning Post article titled: Why US tariff refunds are now a very real possibility … and a giant ‘mess’

That article is behind a paywall but there’s a free Yahoo version on yahoo here, though here’s the gist of it:

Foxco, an Arizona-based e-commerce supply-chain consultancy handling imported electronic parts from China, said most of its US clients saw their tariffs apparently covered by tax credits or other offsets engineered by Beijing.

“The [Chinese government] instructed the factories to rebate the tariffs. There was no friction whatsoever,” said Andrew Fox, Foxco’s director. “If it were returned, the importer would get something of a windfall since they didn’t pay it.”

Fox believes most Chinese factory owners would let it ride, handing importers a lucky break.

“Would the Chinese factory try and claw it back? I don’t think so. Chinese people know about the world. There are no fools in China, especially those running factories,” Fox said.

“Losing customers they’ve built up over the last decade or more? That is something they’re not going to let happen.”

Supply chain optimization and overseas consulting for China and Asia is only a small part of what Foxco does. Visit our homepage to learn about our other services.
