Custom Record Store Shopify Theme
Graded used vinyl, new release preorders and turntable gear
Grading a used record is half science and half honesty: VG+ on the vinyl, VG on the sleeve with a seam split and a buyer three states away who will hold you to every word of it. Record shops run on Shopify because it handles both sides of the bins, one-off used copies and stacks of new pressings. Foxco builds a custom record store Shopify theme with grading fields for media and sleeve on every used listing, preorder pages for new releases and reissues, turntables and cartridges in their own gear collection and shipping set up for records, plus local pickup for the regulars. Figure $999 installed and configured on your Shopify store and the next drop day is covered.

Record Store theme questions
Custom theme or a reskinned template?
Custom. Foxco starts from its Shopify framework for record stores and builds it out with your brand, your grading fields, your genre crates and the gear you carry.
How long from start to finish?
Most record shops launch in 7-10 days once we have your logo, photos and a starter batch of listings. Rush jobs depend on our bandwidth.
Can we sell new and used copies of the same album?
Yes. New copies carry stock counts while used copies list as one-offs with their own grades and photos, side by side in the same genre crates.
Can we take preorders for a release that ships later?
Yes. Preorder products take payment now with a clear ship date on the page; more involved preorder rules run through a Shopify app. Your Shopify plan and any paid apps are billed by their providers; the $999 is for the theme build alone.
That buyer three states away can't flip the record over and check the dead wax, so your grade is the whole conversation. The theme makes every grade easy to read and every listing consistent, which is how a shop earns repeat mail order customers.
Grades in plain sight
Used listings have separate fields for media grade, sleeve grade, pressing details and notes like ring wear or a cut corner. Photos of the label and the actual sleeve sit beside them, so a careful buyer can trust your VG+ the way they would if they held it under the store lights.
New pressings and preorders
New releases and reissues get preorder pages with the ship date, color variant and any store exclusive noted up front. When the box arrives, those orders are already paid and labeled, so drop day is mostly packing boxes and handing bags across the counter. Store exclusives get a small badge so collectors spot them.
Collections walking in the door
Foxco adds a sell-your-records form with photo upload, so people clearing out a basement send you pictures of the spines before they haul crates across town. You decide what's worth a visit and the best collections tend to come to the shop that made the first step easy.
