Custom Ornamental Iron Worker Shopify Theme
Forged hardware shop, gate deposits and finish options for iron work
Plenty of iron shops have figured out that the hooks, hinges, fireplace tools and address plaques coming off the anvil between big jobs will ship happily to a barn owner three states away, while the driveway gates and stair rails still start with a tape measure and a deposit. Shopify handles both sides of that well and Foxco builds a custom ornamental iron Shopify theme that makes them look like one serious shop: product pages with variants for size, finish and mounting style, a commission section where a homeowner can put down a design deposit and photography big enough to show the hammer marks. It's $999 installed and configured on your Shopify store and it keeps the small pieces selling while you're at the forge on the big commissions.
Iron that sells by the piece and by the project.

Ornamental Iron Worker theme questions
Is this a stock Shopify template with our logo on it?
No; we start from our Shopify framework for ornamental iron shops, then build it out with your brand, your forged products and pages for custom gate and railing work.
How quickly can the store launch?
Plan on 7-10 days once we have your logo, product photos and descriptions. Rush jobs are possible when our schedule has room for them.
Can customers pay a deposit on a custom gate?
Yes. We set up a deposit product that collects the opening size, style notes and contact details through Shopify checkout, so you start the design conversation with someone already committed. A live configurator that prices a gate as it's drawn would be a custom project.
Can we charge freight on heavy pieces?
Shopify's shipping settings handle weight-based rates and local pickup, which covers most iron shops. Carrier freight quotes usually run through a Shopify app; the plan and any paid apps are billed by Shopify and the app makers, separate from the $999.
That barn owner three states away buying hinges is a different customer from the neighbor who wants a gate, though both of them want proof that a person with a hammer made the thing. The theme gives each of them a clear path and keeps the craft in plain view the whole way.
Small pieces that ship anywhere
Hooks, hinges, pot racks and plaques are the steady sellers, so they get proper product pages with variants for length, finish and hardware. A buyer picks black oil or raw wax, watches the price update and checks out through Shopify without emailing you to ask what the options are. That's money coming in while the forge is busy on something bigger.
Commissions that start with a deposit
Gates, railings and balcony panels need a conversation first. The commission page lays out your process, shows past projects by style and takes a design deposit with the opening measurements attached, so the people who reach your inbox have already put some skin in the game. Tire kickers tend to stay tire kickers once a checkout button is involved.
Photos that show the hammer
Foxco builds the product pages around large, zoomable images, since a buyer comparing your scrollwork to a mass-produced bracket needs to see texture, welds and the way a scroll tapers off. A finishes page explains powder coat, patina and wax so people choose the right one for a coastal porch or a dry desert yard.
