If you’re trying to run the reindexer on Magento using the admin panel (and not SSH) sometimes it will get stuck. Fixing this is easy if you follow these simple steps.
- Select All Indexes
- Select Change Index Mode, to, UPDATE ON SAVE
- Now change index mode back to MANUAL UPDATE (you should be using manual update if you have more than a dozen products anyhow)
- Now click REINDEX DATA on whichever index is frozen
Voila. It will begin running the reindexer again for that particular index.
